Health & Safety
The department is autonomous and reports directly to the Group Managing Director. Tripod Crest is fully committed to Health & Safety and the welfare of all its employees and a programme of continual improvement is in place.
Our 'in-house' safety advisers are IOSH members and the company supports both RoSPA and OPERC.
Across all operating divisions, monthly Health & Safety meetings are held and any issues raised are discussed and investigated thoroughly. These meetings are attended by at least one Director and Health & Safety is reviewed at every Board Meeting.
The workforce is encouraged to make suggestions and observations to the improvement of Health & Safety throughout the Company.
A full programme of CSCS Card certification and Plant Operator accreditation, where appropriate, is in place. By the end of 2004, we had 98% compliance with CSCS accreditation and our aim is to achieve 100% as we have an ongoing programme of assessment for new starters.
Training is regularly reviewed and updated. The ratio of First Aiders, Banksmen and Managers conversant with Health And Safety regulations is high, demonstrating a culture of commitment to safe working practice.
